What orthodontics can fix
- Overbite or underbite
- Crossbite
- Crowded teeth
- Gaps and spacing
- Protrusion of the front teeth
Two main options
Traditional braces
Metal or ceramic brackets bonded to the front of your teeth and connected with a wire. Braces work for every orthodontic case, no matter how complex. Lingual braces — fitted to the inside of the teeth — are almost completely invisible from the outside.
Invisalign
A series of clear plastic aligners — virtually invisible — that gradually shift teeth into place. We start with a 3D scan of your mouth, then a custom set of aligners is made; you swap to a new tray every 1–2 weeks. Aligners are removable for eating, brushing and special occasions, but need to be worn at least 20 hours a day for results.
Braces vs Invisalign — which is right?
Invisalign works brilliantly for mild to moderate cases and is the popular choice for adults — discreet, removable, and easy to clean around. For complex bite corrections, or for younger patients who would lose aligners, traditional braces are often the better call. We'll show you both options at your consultation so you can choose.
Care during treatment
- Braces — extra time spent brushing around brackets, no sticky or very hard foods, slightly more frequent check-ups
- Invisalign — wear at least 20 hours/day, brush after eating before putting them back in, don't lose the trays
